Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is always a great joy for me to be able to share the ministry that God has planted in our hearts. My wife and I are missionaries from Brazil to Brazil. We came to the United States in May of 2004 and joined Fellowship International Mission. For the past several months we have been in the process of raising our support. God has opened amazing doors for us to share the ministry and given us many new partners for our ministry in Brazil. Please, read over our brief missionary goals and pray about the possibility of being part of this great opportunity for missions in Brazil.
Our task: to spiritually support the new growing churches and to influence them in the true Biblical principles of growth in the Lord.
Our call: to minister to the people in the southern states of Brazil, evangelizing, and equipping believers for the local church with the Word of God.
This will be done through OneSoul Ministries. Imagine an umbrella representing OneSoul Ministries. This umbrella has 4 parts:
The first part is the OneSoul Band, a musical group whose purpose is to proclaim the good news of Jesus. We do evangelistic concerts in churches and schools, write and record Christian songs, and teach music seminars, thus equipping the church in worship.
The second part of the umbrella is the New Life Bible Camp, which offers programs and low cost facilities to small and mid-sized churches. We also hold one-week camps various times throughout the year for street kids, deaf people, local church retreats, and leadership training.
Church Planting – There are approximately 2500 people around the location of the camp and it is our desire to establish a local church in that area.
The third part is the Hospital Ministry. Our main purpose is to evangelize terminally ill patients and their families. In this particular ministry, Monica and I will be ministering in the hospital during the week (Monday – Thursday).
The fourth part of the OneSoul umbrella is the Soccer Outreach. Knowing that many kids would never step inside a church building, we mobilize Christian soccer players to develop relationships with non-Christian players, and use game’s half time for a strategic preaching occasion.
The Need: We long to go back to Brazil and carry on the ministry. For that to happen, our Mission Board, Fellowship International Mission, requires that we have at least 100 prayer partners, committed to pray daily for us, and 100% of our monthly support raised. So far we have 42% of our financial support and we need 50 more people that would commit themselves to pray for us. Enclosed you will find information on how to be part of OneSoul Ministries.
Mission Board: My parents have been with FIM (Fellowship International Mission) located in Allentown, PA. FIM has had a great impact in world missions and has over 150 missionaries in every continent of the world reaching lost souls for Christ.
Enclosed with this letter you will find an interactive CD including a power point presentation with extra information and pictures of all the ministries mentioned above.
I will call you back in 10 days or wait for your feedback.
PS. Our R-Visa is valid until May of 2007. So we have until that date to raise our support and go back to Brazil. Please, pray for this.
In His Name
Marcos & Monica Souza
